“Mustn’ts”
I mustn’t chew my fingernails,
I’m told by Mom and Dad.
I mustn’t pick my nose — they say
it really looks quite bad!
I mustn’t crack my knuckles,
and I mustn’t burp aloud,
and if I master mustn’ts — well then
Mom and Dad are proud!
For some reason I started thinking about Gelett Burgess and The Goops. They’re aren’t at all alike but maybe it was the focus on manners.

Thank you. I think the mustn’ts change as we age!
